I hunt big woods public land. So far, these boots have done 7 or 8 good hikes/hunts for me.
Pros:
+They are super light! That’s for sure!
+For the chatter about durability, so far they haven’t been punctured or torn or shown any sign of succumbing to abuse.
+I got the kids pair too for my 9 year old and he LOVES them!
Cons:
-They have a pretty sticky texture inside the boot. It catches my socks some when going on or off. It also causes them to really pull at my pant legs and sometimes twist them as I walk.
-For some reason, they seem to allow more debris down into the boot than other rubber boots that I’ve worn. That only matters when I’m in the thick, but I’ve taken them off on several occasions to clear things that are poking my foot.
Observations:
~The sole is pretty soft and flexible. I kinda like it. I feel like I’m able to sneak a little better in these, but some may not like that feature.
~Where the top of the boot meets the top of the bridge of my foot is fairly snug for buying a size bigger than my sneakers. The good part of that is that it keeps the heel pretty well seated in the heel pocket as you walk. The bad part is that I’m not sure I’ll be able to wear thick socks and endure cold weather in them.
