LITE Boots are made from injection-molded EVA foam. Each boot is formed as a single piece, so there are no glued seams that can split or leak. The foam holds millions of tiny air pockets, which is what makes the boot light and warm at the same time.
Are LITE Boots rubber boots?
No. LITE Boots are EVA foam boots, and most customers buy them as a lighter alternative to traditional rubber boots. They handle the same jobs rubber boots do for hunting, fishing, farm work, and mud. They weigh far less and stay flexible when temperatures drop.
How much do LITE Boots weigh?
The 16" Classic weighs about 13 ounces per boot. Most insulated rubber hunting boots weigh several pounds per pair. That difference is what customers notice in the first mile of walking, and it is the reason the brand is named LITE Boots.

Are your boots insulated?
Yes. Pick a pair up, and you may wonder where the insulation is. It is inside the material itself. During manufacturing, millions of tiny air bubbles form within the foam, and trapped air is what keeps your feet warm. That is also why the boots weigh so little.
What temperature are LITE Boots rated for?
LITE Boots are built for conditions from about 10°F to 80°F. Boots sold with gram ratings work on the same principle, which is air trapped inside the material. For long sits in cold weather, add a heavy merino wool sock and leave a little room in the boot so blood can circulate.
How tough are the boots?

Are LITE Boots fully waterproof?

Fit and Sizing
What size LITE Boots should I order?
Order your normal shoe size. The 16" Classic comes in men's sizes 7 through 15. If you plan to wear a thick wool sock through cold weather, going up one size gives your toes room and helps circulation, which is what actually keeps feet warm.
Do you make wide calf boots?
Yes. The 16" Classic Wide Calf is built with extra room through the shaft for larger calves and for tucking pant legs inside. It comes in men's sizes 9 through 13. The Lite Hip Boots also come in wide calf sizes 9 through 13.
Do you make boots for women?
Yes. Our women's footwear collection has options built for smaller sizes, and the Shortys start at a women's 5. Check the size chart on each product page before ordering so you land on the right fit.
Do you make boots for kids?
Yes. The Kids Classic is built the same way as the adult boot and weighs about 6 ounces per boot. Kids can pull them on and off by themselves, which matters when they are heading out to the barn, the creek, or the backyard.
What socks should I wear with LITE Boots?
Merino wool socks work best. Wool pulls moisture off your skin and keeps insulating even when damp, while cotton holds sweat and cools your feet down. We sell merino wool socks sized for LITE Boots. Match the sock thickness to the temperature and leave a little room inside the boot.
Are LITE Boots easy to get on and off?
Yes. The foam shaft flexes as you step in, so you are not fighting a stiff boot at the door. Most customers pull them on standing up and kick them off without bending over. Easy on and easy off is one of the most common comments in our reviews.
Comfort and Wear
Will my feet sweat in these?
Your feet should not sweat any more than they would in any other waterproof boot. No waterproof boot breathes much. Because LITE Boots hold warmth, they can feel warm during summer months. A thin sock moves moisture away from your skin and helps a lot.
I just got my boots, and they have an odor. Will this go away?
Yes. New boots carry a manufacturing smell that fades as the material finishes curing. Give them a couple of weeks somewhere shaded with good airflow. After that, neither you nor wildlife should be able to smell them.
Do LITE Boots hold human scent for hunting?
EVA foam is non-porous, so it does not soak up foot odor the way leather and fabric boots do. That is the same reason whitetail hunters have always chosen rubber. Store your boots away from fuel, smoke, and household smells, and tuck your pant legs inside the shaft when you walk in.
Are LITE Boots quiet in the woods?
Yes. Soft foam does not squeak or scrape when it brushes against limbs or the wall of a blind. The low weight also makes it easier to walk slowly and set your feet down deliberately, which is what really keeps you quiet on the way to a stand.
Care and Repair
What if I poke a hole in them?
Depending on the size of the object, the hole should close back up once it is removed and keep offering waterproof protection. These boots have self-healing properties when punctured by thorns and similar objects. For a larger cut, we sell GEAR AID AquaSeal+FD, a flexible adhesive that seals the spot.
Will these boots shrink up?
They can shrink if they get too hot. Heat is the one thing that damages EVA foam. Keep your boots out of direct summer sun, out of a closed vehicle trunk, and away from fire pits, heaters, and dryers. Store them somewhere cool and shaded.
How do I clean my LITE Boots?
Rinse mud off with a garden hose, then wipe them down with mild soap and water. Skip pressure washers, solvents, and bleach. Let them dry out of direct sunlight. Cleaning them after each trip also keeps foreign odors from building up in the boot.
How do I dry the inside of my boots?
Stand them upright in a cool spot with good airflow. If you use a boot dryer, run it on the fan-only or lowest setting, because high heat will shrink the foam. Newspaper stuffed inside overnight also pulls moisture out well.
How should I store LITE Boots?
Store them upright in a cool, dark place with the shafts standing straight. Skip hot garages, attics, and vehicle trunks. Hunters should store their boots in a sealed tote so household, fuel, and smoke odors stay out of them between hunts.
How long do LITE Boots last?
With normal care, customers get multiple seasons out of a pair. Heat shortens the life of an EVA boot faster than mud or water ever will. Keep them out of the sun and out of the trunk and they will keep going.

Are LITE Boots good for deer hunting?

Can I wear LITE Boots for fishing?

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. If you are not happy with your boots for any reason, we will give you a full refund or exchange within 30 days, no questions asked. Manufacturer defects are covered for up to 12 months. After that, we will still work to make things right within reason, because customer service is our highest priority.
When and how will my boots be shipped?
We normally ship the same day you place your order. Orders placed after 4:00 p.m. Central Time ship the following business day. We ship UPS the majority of the time and use USPS in certain cases.
How do I exchange or return boots?
Email customerservice@liteboots.com. Include your order number if you have it. If you do not, send the date and the location where the boots were purchased. Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of purchase.
